The Grindon Short Break Service provides quality residential short-breaks for adults aged 18 to 65 who have a physical disability, brain injury or sensory impairment, following an assessment of need by a care manager.

The service supports individuals to experience new opportunities, try new activities and develop friendships. It also aims also to give parents and carers time to enjoy a break from their caring role.

The service has nine en suite bedrooms - five with double beds and four with profile beds; spar baths; and a variety of other specialist equipment installed throughout the building to support people with complex disabilities.

 

Who can use the service?

Adults aged 18 to 65 who have a physical disability, brain injury or sensory impairment.

 

How do I access the service?

To access the service, you must have an individual assessment of need carried out by your care manager.
