Supported living

 

Sunderland Care and Support operates a number of small supported living schemes for people with a learning disability and mental health needs across the city.

Working in partnership with registered social landlords, they provide a wide variety of supported living options for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. All are tenancy based although they also promote shared and full ownership schemes.

Supported living offers those with learning disabilities and mental health needs a genuine alternative to traditional residential care.

 

Registered residential services

Sunderland Care and Support also provides the following registered residential services, supporting people with learning disabilities and people with autism who have complex needs and require support with social care activities as well as direct support with personal care:

  • 1 Fenwick Close, 2 Fenwick Close, 3 Fenwick Close - Southwick
  • Rubicon Rise - Doxford Park
  • 2 Blackwood Road - Town End Farm
  • Meadow Rise - Hetton-le-Hole

 

Registered assessment and rehabilitation services

Villette

Located in Hendon, Villette is a registered assessment, rehabilitation and short-term community independence service for people aged between 18 and 65 with learning disabilities.

Villette can accommodate up to six adults to develop new skills to help them live independently and enable them to move on to greater independence in a planned way.

 

Hillcrest

Located in the Ashbrooke area of Sunderland offering assessment, rehabilitation and short-term community independence service for people aged 18 and over with mental illness - focusing on recovery.

Hillcrest can accommodate up to six adults to develop new skills and support individuals to prepare for independent living in the community.
